The Best (and Worst) of Both Worlds -- Public Entity HCH Programs

Thursday, May 17, 2018: 8:30 AM-10:00 AM
Skyway Suite AB (Hyatt Regency Minneapolis)
Health Care for the Homeless programs are sometimes housed within larger public entities such as City, State or County health departments, hospital districts or other entities.  Always unique, these arrangements can provide opportunities for improved patient service and coordination. These arrangements can also bring regulatory challenges.  This workshop will bring together representatives from four different types of public entity HCHs for a round table discussion and collaboration between audience and presenters.
Organizer:
David Modersbach, BA (Grants & Special Programs, Alameda County Health Care for the Homeless Program)
Speakers:
Stephanie Abel, RN (Manager- Integrated Care, Hennepin County Public Health)
Susan H Spalding, MD (Medical Director Homeless Outreach Medical Services, Dallas County Hospital District)
John Gilvar (Manager, Health Care for the Homeless Network, Seattle King County Department of Public Health)
