A Road to Wellness: Building a Unique Federally Qualified Health Center

The goal of our presentation is to give a real glimpse into what front-line staff experiences in building a community health clinic aimed at serving and empowering homeless individuals in Alameda County. We are a pilot program built from the ground up that utilizes a diverse staff and human-centered design to engage to the most vulnerable in our communty in healthcare. To date, we would like to highlight the challenges and successes we've had through staff and patient experiences to spark conversations on how to 'build the road to wellness' for the homeless.
