Demystifying Medicaid managed care: Maximizing opportunities to partner more effectively with MCOs

As Medicaid plays an increasing role in financing health and housing support services—in both expansion and non-expansion states—managed care organizations are also becoming more vested partners to ensure access to care and improve health. This workshop will cover the basics of Medicaid managed care, describe how MCO plans have shared goals and are critical partners with service providers, and discuss how the HCH community can maximize these partnerships to secure greater resources to prevent and end homelessness.
